Where to eat on a budget

You will never go hungry in Orlando on your vacation. If you want to have a break from cooking but want to go out and find somewhere that you will get good value for money then here's what we recommend:

Applebees - A family friendly establishment that does great steaks, ribs, burgers and a few specialty dishes. For a family of 2 adults, 2 kids can expect to spend between $40 and $60 for a meal. They have a good 2 for $20 menu so you may get it for cheaper !! Try their onion rings - they're amazing.

TGI Fridays - Everyone knows what this international chain is about and they are good everywhere you go. Meals for family of 4 can be from $60 upwards.

Olive Garden - A break from the steaks and burgers, this is a great pasta joint that has a lovely Mediterranean feel and great service. If you like Italian food, this is highly recommended even if it is a little more expensive.

Tony Roma's - A steak house that is also a little bit more expensive than the others already mentioned but its food is out of this world. Very comfortable establishment, kid friendly and good service.

IHOP- Breakfast platters aplenty here and all for a good price. Feels like a traditional diner and is always popular and busy which is a good sign and the food is worth the wait.

Sizzler - Good steaks and salad buffet for dinner and a large great-value breakfast buffet mean you can eat there at any time of the day and be guaranteed of a good deal.

Ponderosa - See Sizzler !! A good alternative if Sizzler is too busy or you find this place first !!

Golden Corral - This is where the locals go in their droves so you know it is good. Their buffet has a full salad bar, steaks, bbq, chicken, Chinese dishes, Mexican dishes, pizza.......you get the picture - everything ! To top this off they have a dessert bar with numerous pies, ice cream, cakes, candy floss and a chocolate fountain !

Buffalo Wild Wings - This is a great place if you like sports as there are enormous flat screen tv's everywhere and several full wall projectors showing whatever sporting events are currently going on. The food is superb and everything comes in a basket to give you that bar food feel. Obviously their specialty is wings but we have had tortillas and wraps that are full of flavor. Large portions at great prices give you value for money here !

There are numerous others and when time permits we will recommend a few more. If you want to ask about other specific restaurants drop us a line and we'll let you know if we have tried it and what our thoughts are.
